Pages not showing in search
Pages that are meant to be found never show up in search, so no one can reach them from there.

How Lastmod finds it
The crawl lists the pages that can be indexed and compares them with what appears in your Search Console data.
What you do
Check that nothing blocks them, link to them from visible pages, and make sure they are in your sitemap.
How the work is followed up
Lastmod looks for your change on the live page and closes the opportunity when the problem is gone. Clicks are followed as context, not as the proof.
