Tasks

From finding to a checked change.

A finding about your SEO or AI visibility becomes a task you can pick up: what to change, on which page, why, and how sure Lastmod is. When you finish it, Lastmod looks for your new text on the live page before it starts measuring.

A task you can pick up

Every task carries the same things, so nobody has to ask what it means.

What, where and why
The change, the page and the reasoning, with the evidence next to it: the numbers, the rule that fired, the example.
How sure Lastmod is
A confidence level and an expected impact, written as a range. A guess is called a guess.
Steps for your setup
Instructions for making the change in common systems, so a task does not stop at "somebody has to look at the HTML".

A short list, in order

A long list of findings does not get done. Lastmod puts the tasks in order of expected impact and shows a short list of at most three actions for this week.

This week
At most three actions from your open opportunities, the ones that matter most first.
Assign and annotate
Give a task an owner and a note, so the reasoning survives a change of hands. Everyone in your organisation can be invited; users are not a price limit.

The live check

Marking a task done is not the same as the change being live.

You finish with the new text
When you complete a task you enter the new text, for example the new title.
Lastmod looks at the live page
About 30 minutes later it fetches the page and looks for that text. If it is there, the measurement starts. If Lastmod cannot check it automatically, it says so.
Search engines hear about it
If you choose IndexNow, Lastmod tells Bing and other search engines that use it. That is a notification, not a change to your site, and Google does not use IndexNow.
