What Lastmod reads
Each source feeds a specific part of the loop. You choose what to connect and can disconnect it again.
- Google Search Console
- Clicks, impressions, position and indexing per page. This is where the before-and-after measurement gets its clicks.
- Google Analytics 4
- Visits that reach your website from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, read from the sessions in your own property.
- Page speed data
- Core Web Vitals per page from PageSpeed and field data, so slow pages show up as opportunities.
- Our own crawler
- Reads your pages the way a search engine does: titles, canonicals, links, sitemap and robots.txt. It names itself, and you can block it.
- Search results and AI answers
- For competitor and AI-answer questions Lastmod uses an external data provider. It is listed on the sub-processors page.
- Your questions to AI assistants
- Lastmod asks ChatGPT and Google AI Mode the questions you approve, and counts how often your website is named or used as a source.
What Lastmod tells search engines
One message, sent when you mark a task done.
- IndexNow
- Lastmod sends the address of the changed page to IndexNow, which Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver use to find changes sooner. It is a notice, not a promise that the page is crawled or ranked.
- Google does not use IndexNow. Lastmod does not submit pages to Google; Google finds changes through its own crawling.

- Websites, opportunities, tasks, results and search performance as JSON, for your own scripts and dashboards.

- Lastmod calls your own address when a new opportunity is found, a result is ready or a connection breaks, so your tools do not have to keep asking.
- AI assistants
- Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor and ask about your websites in your own words.
What it does not do
Where the connections stop.
- Clicks and impressions come from Google Search Console only. Other search engines are not measured on clicks.
- There is no connection to your CMS. You, or the person who builds your website, make every change.
- Lastmod only reads from Google. It cannot change your Search Console or Analytics settings.
