Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals are three measures of page experience: how fast the main content loads (LCP), how quickly the page responds to input (INP), and how much it shifts while loading (CLS).

They matter first for the people using your page: a slow or jumpy page loses visitors. They are also a ranking signal, but a weak one. Expect a better experience, not a jump in position.

Google reports them from real visitors' browsers when it has enough data, and as lab measurements otherwise.
